Today, 14 June, Russia–Saudi Arabia match at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow launches the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The 2018 World Cup will be the 21st in the history of the Championship and Russia’s first, spanning 11 cities and 12 stadiums (Luzhniki and Otkrytie Arena will both host matches in Moscow) – from Kaliningrad in the west to Yekaterinburg in the east, from St. Petersburg in the north to Sochi in the south. The other host cities are Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd, Samara, Kazan, Saransk and Rostov-on-Don.

A record number of participants visited the forum with more than 17,000 repre-sentatives of the business and political community from 143 countries coming to take it in. The company’s employees began accrediting technical personnel working on preparing and holding the Forum; an accreditation point has been opened at the Tulip Inn hotel. Proxy Centre is training temporary workers to accredit Forum participants. Before the Forum opens, specialized briefings and training sessions are held for the temporary personnel.
