The International conference on the SCO Member States' Cooperation in the Fight Against Infectious Diseases was held in Sochi on May 25-26, 2015. Proxy Centre company acted as an organizational partner of the meeting.

Company’s specialists provided well-timed and on-the-spot participants’ online registration and on-site accreditation. Technical management staff built-up the meeting venue, including Plenary Session Hall, Bilateral Meeting Room, Common Delegation Room and other functional zones in line with SCO corporate identity. The delegates were met in the airport by the respective Liaison Officers and accompanied to the hotel of living and on the way back. Our delegate managers also provided administrative and logistical support for the delegations throughout the Conference. Transport support comprised transfers from the airport to the hotel and back, as well as transfers to the places of cultural programme and to the technical tour on Sochi Olympic objects.

The conference was attended by over 200 representatives of related agencies responsible for sanitary and epidemiological welfare, research organisations from SCO member states and observer states and a number of IO. The Russian delegation was represented by Chief State Sanitary Physician of the Russian Federation Anna Popova.

The discussions were addressed to such topical issues as introduction of the International Health Regulations (IHR) and sanitary and epidemiological wellbeing during large-scale events. Special attention was focused on the outbreak caused by the Ebola virus and prospects for SCO cooperation in preventing and fighting HIV/AIDS. The SCO countries' cooperation in the fight against infectious diseases is one of the key priorities of Russia's SCO Presidency. The results of discussions held at the conference provide a powerful impetus to the further development of SCO member countries' cooperation in the fight against infectious diseases.
