On February 6-7, Moscow hosted the first G8 Sherpas' Meeting in a series of inaugural events of Russia's G8 Presidency.
Within two days, the participants held five working sessions, where the Russia's G8 Presidency priorities have been discussed, including the issues such as global natural and man-made disaster risk management, global health security (in the context of countering new infections and ensuring food security) and the Post-2015 development agenda, migration and social protection among the questions of international development assistance. In addition, the meeting agenda included such important topics as combating financial crimes, open data and the Deauville Partnership with Arab Countries in Transition.
IT-specialists took an active part in the preparation and organization process of the meeting. The delegates were registered on a specially designed accreditation web-portal. Personal account was opened for each of the G8 delegations, with the help of which participants were able to register their delegates online.
Accreditation desk was installed in the meeting venue during the event. Moreover, our staff tuned up all the necessary accreditation equipment, trained temporary personnel and arranged the process of their work and cooperation.
Besides, our IT-specialists began introduction of a renewed accreditation module. New software will provide better enhancement of the system reliability, simplify operators work and improve the quality of services.
