On November 10, 2015 within the frames of the “Urban Week” VII Annual Forum “Future Petersburg” took place in the city. Media holding “RBC” became a driving force of the meeting with support of the “Proxy Centre” company as an official carrier of the event. For the transportation purposes the company provided transfers from upon arrival to Saint Petersburg from the airports and railway stations and on the way back.
Traditionally the Forum was attended by 50 high-level experts from Saint Petersburg and Moscow, as well as leading businessmen, officials, economists, technological development experts and architects. Among guests were chairman of Economic Policy Committee of Saint Petersburg, Elena Ulyanova, vice governor for economy and investment of the Leningrad region Dmitry Yalov, director of the Agglomerations Economic Development Agency, Yury Kuznetsov (Yekaterinburg), professor of the International Architecture Academy, Andrey Chernikhov (Moscow), President of the Architects Union of Saint Petersburg, Oleg Romanov, director of the Source Centre for Strategic Planning commorant Leontiev Centre, Boris Zhikharevich, vice rector for promising projects of the St Petersburg State Polytechnic University Aleksey Borovkov, BIOCAD President Dmitry Morozov, Chairman of the board of directors group “RosStroyInvest” Igor Kreslavsky, executive director of the LLC “NTFF Polysan” Eugeny Kardash, director general of the LLC “START Development” Sergey Khromov, managing partner of the Euromed Group, Aleksander Abdin, director general of the TPV CIS, Balzhey Reiss, senior researcher of the National Research University - Higher School of Economics, Elena Tkachenko and other guests.
The emphasis of the Forum’s discussions was transferred from establishing favorable urban area to discussing economic issues and milestones of Saint Petersburg’ economic development. Plenary session “Advance team of Saint Petersburg business: success story against the backdrop of stagnation” was devoted to people and companies, which made a significant contribution to the economy, technologies and society not withstanding of a crisis; the results of which are resistant to pessimism and entropy.
