Special Transportation Ministerial Meeting was held in St.Petersburg on August 3, 2012 to discuss the results of the 36th APEC Transportation Working Group Meeting to be held in St.Petersburg from July 29 to August 2, 2012.
Transportation and logistics issues have been high on APEC agenda recently. They are discussed at virtually every APEC officials' meeting. APEC transportation and logistics projects aim to ensure more efficient passenger and freight transportation, provide high-level security and protection services, and agree upon measures to reduce practical barriers to the movement of people and goods.
The Development of Integrated Transportation and Supply Chains for Innovative Growth in the Asia-Pacific region was the main theme at the Special Transportation Ministerial Meeting. The meeting provided a platform for openly discussing issues related to the creation of reliable transportation and supply chains, which is a key priority of Russia's APEC chairmanship in 2012.
APEC Transport Ministers concluded their meeting by issuing the St.Petersburg Ministerial Declaration to help ensure the sustainability and efficiency of supply-chain systems in the Asia-Pacific region.
Among the services provided by transport department of «Proxy Centre» LLC are: arrangement of work with STSI, providing of boat trips transport logistics (transportation to piers of Vasilievsky Island and the Palace Embankment). Proxy Centre’s LLC IT department aimed to develop Workflow Software between the participants during the meetings. Our company has worked out a workflow system with intuitive interface and launched it at the meeting venue by the fixed date. Consequently, this provided that participants can share files from their personal computers and mobile devices over Wi-Fi network.
