In January-March 2018, FIFA representatives are making inspection visits to all the host cities of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russiaтм. Proxy Centre is providing transport services for the inspection visits in eight host cities: St Petersburg, Moscow, Sochi, Rostov-on-Don, Saransk, Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd and Kaliningrad.
The primary purpose of the visits is to discuss stadium operations during the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup Russiaтм. The joint group of FIFA and the Organizing Committee of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russiaтм consists of experts in stadium design and in holding competitions, in security, transport, logistics, hospitality services, broadcasting, providing a favourable working environment for the media, running marketing and ticketing programmes.
The first round of inspection visits was held between 30 January and 1 February. The delegation visited St Petersburg Stadium, Luzhniki Stadium and Spartak Stadium in Moscow. Representatives of FIFA and the World Cup Organizing Committee will visit other stadiums in February and March.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup Russiaтм will be held in the summer of 2018. Proxy Centre coompany is handling the transport services for the World Cup client groups and associated events in three territorial clusters out of four: Western, Central and Southern.
Previously, Proxy Centre has already worked on preparing and holding events related to the World Cup, such as the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup held in Russia in June–July 2017 and the World Cup’s final draw held on 1 December 2017 in Moscow’s State Kremlin Palace.
