Proxy Centre is engaged in organization of Ballet Master Gala Concert

Proxy Centre is involved in the organization of the Ballet Master Gala Concert, which will be taking place as part of the VI St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum and conclude the first day of the forum.

The gala concert is dedicated to the 80th birthday anniversary and 60th creative work anniversary of Oleg Vinogradov, a leading Russian and international ballet master. The concert will take place in Oktyabrsky Concert Hall in St. Petersburg on 16 November.

Invitations to attend the solemn event were sent to high-ranking officials of the Russian federal authorities, representatives of international organizations (UN, UNESCO), diplomatic representatives of foreign states in Russia, heads of leading cultural institutions of Russia and the world, outstanding figures in world dancing arts.

The gala concert is held under the auspices of the Culture Committee St. Petersburg, as well as with support of the representative office of the International Dance Council (CID) at UNESCO in St. Petersburg and with the participation of the Stars of the 21st Century project (Canada).

The gala concert in three acts will be celebrating Oleg Vinogradov’s life and enable the audience to witness the results of the 60 years of his creative work aimed at the development and preservation of Russian classical ballet. The program will include both samples of traditional choreography and modern compositions based on the classical ballet school, as well as fragments from the ballets of the great choreographer who will be celebrating his jubilee.

The stars of leading theatres of the world will be taking part in the gala concert: Yulia Stepanova, Denis Rodkin, Olga Smirnova and Semyon Chudin, Maria Alexandrova and Vladislav Lantratov (the Bolshoi Theatre); Yulia Makhalina, Farukh Ruzimatov, Anton Korsakov, Igor Kolb and Alisa Petrenko, Christina Shapran and Timur Askerov, Alexandra Iosifidi, Nadezhda Batoyeva and Ernest Latypov (the Mariinsky Theatre); Anastasia Matvienko and Denis Matvienko (NOVAT, Novosibirsk); Lucia Lacarra (Spain) and Marlon Dino (Germany), Adrian Blake Mitchell (USA), Oscar Hawkins (USA), Heiming Hwan and Tsayong Om (South Korea), as well as students of the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet and the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington and others.
