BRICS senior officials on science, technology and innovation met in Moscow on 27 October 2015, ahead of the ministerial meeting on October, 28.
“Proxy Centre” company organized the following services within the meeting: online registration and onsite accreditation, transport support and Information desks operation. The company also delivered information work with participants and provided visa support.
The senior officials focused on the results of the first meeting of representatives of BRICS countries' organisations that finance research and technology in their states. They agreed that working groups should be established to boost work to finance research and technology programmes and added this provision to the Moscow Ministerial Declaration. The senior officials also amended the Work Plan to propose network cooperation in biomedicine, human health and neurosciences (to be coordinated by Russia and Brazil), information technology, software and high performance computing (China), oceans, Polar research and technology (Russia and Brazil), coordinating nanotechnology research (India and Russia), and photonics (Russia). The senior officials have approved the drafts of the Moscow Ministerial Declaration and the 2015-2018 BRICS Work Plan for Science, Technology and Innovation and formulated their recommendations for the BRICS Ministers of Science, Technology and Innovation.
Guests thanked the Russian partners for their productive work during Russia's BRICS Presidency.
